Hodges and his master soared into the arena. In the center of the arena was a large griffon. As Hodges landed, his master quickly jumped off, but was too slow to give Hodges the time he needed to dodge the griffon's attack. The griffon rammed Hodges into the wall and continued to head butt him in the chest. Hodges recoiled and tried to protect himself with his wings while he whipped the griffon in the back with his tail. The griffon screeched and flew away from Hodges. He braced himself against the wall to take a breath, but was wasting to much time. "Look out, Hodges!", his master shouted as the griffon was diving towards him. Hodges evaded the griffon's attack and the beast rammed it's head into the wall. Hodges then breathed in as much air as he could and scorched the griffon with flames that incinerated it.
